One of the teachers from the school in our neighbourhood asked if we would give a presentation about Burkina Faso and the Ampo facilities for their senior geography class. At first we were a bit hesitant because in the past we had experienced some challenges with a few individual pupils.

However during the presentation we soon noticed that the interest level was high and we were delighted that it even produced a knock-on effect. The pupils went on to organise a cake sale to raise money for Ampo.

They came up with an impressive 180 euros!

It taught us to avoid making false assumptions and that commitment can often be found in the most unexpected places.
